A short 4 mile paddle to a river camping platform, spend the night and return the next morning. This will be a relaxing paddle and a learning experience. We will meet in the weeks leading up to this paddle to talk about preparing yourself/your gear/your boat. There will be a small fee of about $25 to cover the Platform Rental.

Robeson Creek Boat Ramp - Jordan Lake

Paddle to Wilderness Point on Jordan Lake to clean up shoreline to approx 30 ft inland. Bring gloves, sun screen and water. Bags, grabbers will be provided. Garbage will be bagged and left on shore for pick up.
(1/2) day of training to sharpen your turning and draw strokes. We will review each stroke and then put in some on-water practice.

Essentials of River Safety Class
This course is tailored to recreational kayaking/canoeing however any whitewater paddlers are encouraged to attend as well.
The lessons learned in this course will add a new skill for you and your fellow paddlers to stay safe on our rivers

Lake Jocassee is located in SC. There are (3) waterfalls accessed by boat only that I wish to visit on this trip. We will be camping in primitive camp area on an island and paddling to these waterfalls.
