This trip is coordinated by the ACA -- It is a great "crossover" trip that includes members from CKC, CCC, TRR, and other paddling groups that don't have a nifty Three-Letter Acronym.

Cape Fear River Rendezvous is our annual community based paddle trip. This will be our 3rd year hosting this event in conjunction with ACA's Summer Solstice program. We will start at NCWRC's Wildlife Road and paddle 8 miles to the public takeout at the Cape Fear River Trail Park in Erwin. This trip is open to everyone and registration is not required. The 8 miles section does contain some rapids but all are beginner friendly for all types of kayaks, canoes, and even a paddleboard if you are up to 8 miles. The last couple trips have had over 40 paddlers so it must be fun.

Requirements
- Plastic boats recommended. There will be rocks.
- PFD must be worn during the entire trip
- Helmet must be worn during the rapids, and when wearing a skirt (extra helmets are available if you do not have one)
- Bring a lunch and plenty of water

If you survive, you might earn a highly-coveted Solstice Paddle sticker!
